We use a standard cartographic style to produce local street maps. For optimal legibility, the local streets are labeled at 6-point font. You can review this style by downloading a sample Local Streets map. In addition to the detailed local street road network and a scale bar, we show, as appropriate, lakes and rivers, railroads, university campuses, golf courses, parks, cemeteries, hospitals, sportscenters, and shopping centers. Maps are delivered as layered Illustrator (AI) vector files providing you with the flexibility and the versatility you may need to accomplish your design goals. |

Please note, for Local Street Maps we use a scale requiring 6.25 cm of page per 1 km mapped. This scale maximizes local street labeling and legibility. If your project is 100+ square km and/or your map image size is smaller than our scale requires we have developed several additional solutions. Special Options for Local Street Maps
--Points of Interest (POI). We can add POI locations to your map. Cost includes up to 12 location dots with labels per map. You supply the name and address for each and we geo code the location and place it on your map. Additional POI map be added for a fee.
--Index. You can request an Index that lists the features and street labels along with their map coordinates. The Index is provided as a separate text document (txt), so you have flexibility on how you format your Index. The fee for the Index varies with area, typically from $50 for under 20 square km to $250 or more for very large areas.
