Royalty Free License for Map Resources Maps
Every Map Resources purchase comes with our Royalty Free License, which gives you unrestricted use
of our maps in print, multimedia, web and broadcast.
Our Royalty Free License gives you unrestricted use for:
• Print media, including text books, newspapers, magazines, journals, reports, directories
• Advertising and promotional materials, including brochures, ads, product packaging,
book covers, and other printed collateral materials
• Websites (screen images only)
• Broadcast, theatrical and video productions (screen images only)
• Products for resale provided the map is not the primary element of the Product
The Royalty Free License does not allow you to:
• distribute the maps in any electronic format
• use maps in resale products where the map is the primary element of the product
(such as an atlas, prints or framed map)
If your product excceds the limits of the Royalty Free license, you can get an Extended Commercial License.
Sharing Maps With Clients and Workgroups
The Royalty Free license allows you to share the original map file with your work group, as long as the group does not not exceed 10 users. If your work group exceeds 10 people, you can purchase a Network/Multiuser License.
If you are a designer working on a client project, you a permitted to deliver a copy of your final work electronically to your client for backup. However, if any client wants to retain a copy of the original Adobe Illustrator file for future use, they must purchase/license their own copy.
