Despite their complex appearance, Terrain maps are easy-to-use Adobe Illustrator files, with the addition of a Photoshop file containing the shaded relief. The APS file is placed in the lowest layer of the Adobe Illustrator file, with the feature layers on top.
Contour maps also show earth’s elevation, but the topographic gradations are drawn as vector lines. Many of our contour maps include ocean contours, making them a great choice for coastal and island areas.
