Learn about Alexander von Humboldt the Easy Way

Posted by Barbara Fordyce on

Andrea Wulf's bestseller,  "The Invention of Nature: Alexander von Humboldt's New World" is a wonderful read about the amazing scientist, Alexander von Humboldt.  Among other amazing scientific firsts, von Humboldt developed the first map graphic that combined visual information with other scientific data such as temperature and plant species.

But if you don't have time to read Wulf's book (nearly 500 pages, including notes), you can get a great look into von Humbold's work through a Story Map, released at the ESRI User Conference this week.

If the Story Map inspires you, check out Wulf's book.
